Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

By installing, accessing, or using StockIT, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

• If you do not agree, do not use the app.
• These Terms apply to the app and related services we operate (the “Service”).
• Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use data.

2. Eligibility and Minors

You must be legally permitted to use the Service where you live.

• If you are under the age of majority, your parent/legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you.
• You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and platform rules.

3. License to Use the Service

We grant you a limited, personal license to use the Service.

• License: non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and limited to personal, non-commercial entertainment/educational use.
• Restrictions: You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law.

4. Accounts, Security, and Device-Based Access

The Service may use device-based or platform-based identifiers instead of requiring email/password accounts.

• Account continuity: Your progress may be tied to your device/platform identifier.
• Security: You agree not to bypass authentication or security features.
• Loss of access: If you lose access to your device/account identifiers, recovery may be limited.

5. Rules of Conduct (Play Fair)

You agree to use the Service responsibly.

• No cheating, exploits, bots, mods, automation, or unauthorized third-party tools.
• No attempts to hack, disrupt, or overload servers/services.
• No misuse of bugs or unintended behavior to gain unfair advantages.
• No abusive, threatening, or illegal behavior related to the Service.

6. Virtual Items, Game Currency, and Purchases (If Offered)

The app may offer virtual currency/items and in-app purchases.

• Virtual items: Virtual items/currency have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for real money.
• In-app purchases: Purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play (or other platform). Your purchase is also subject to the platform’s terms.
• Pricing/availability: Items, prices, and availability may change over time.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by the platform provider under their policies, unless required otherwise by law. Please review your platform’s refund policy (Apple/Google) for details.
• Chargebacks and fraud: We may suspend access if we reasonably believe purchases were made fraudulently or in violation of platform rules.

7. Updates, Changes, and Availability

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the Service.

• We may add, remove, or modify features, content, events, and rewards.
• We do not guarantee the Service will always be available or error-free.

8. Notifications (Optional)

If enabled, the Service may send push notifications.

• You can disable push notifications in the app’s Settings (where available) and/or through your device settings.
• Disabling notifications affects delivery of messages only, not core gameplay updates (for example, resets/events may still occur).

9. Privacy and Your Data

We handle data according to our Privacy Policy.

• See our Privacy Policy for what data we collect and why.
• Data access/export: the app may provide an in-app “View My Data” export feature.
• Requests: you can contact us to request correction or deletion of your data.

10. User Content and Community Features

The Service is primarily a single-player experience.

• No public posting: We do not currently provide public chat, forums, or user-generated content posting features inside the app.
• If added later: If we introduce community features, additional rules may apply and we may moderate content to keep the Service safe.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content are protected by intellectual property laws.

• We (and our licensors) own the Service, including code, graphics, audio, and content.
• You may not use our trademarks or branding without permission.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law.

• No financial advice: The game does not provide real-world financial advice.
• No warranties: We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
• Third-party services: Platform services (Apple/Google/AWS/Firebase) may affect availability.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we limit our liability for certain damages.

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some parts may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

If you misuse the Service, you may be responsible for resulting claims or losses.

• To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for safety/security.

• You may stop using the Service at any time.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and you must stop using it.

17. Governing Law and Venue

Where allowed by law, disputes are governed by the laws and courts described below.

• Default rule: These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence to the extent required by mandatory consumer protection rules.
• Otherwise: If mandatory rules do not apply, disputes will be governed by the laws of the developer’s place of business and resolved in its courts.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

• We will post the updated Terms on our Terms page.
• By continuing to use the Service after changes, you agree to the updated Terms.

19. Third-Party Terms

Your use of the Service may also be subject to third-party terms.

• Apple App Store / Google Play terms (including purchases, billing, and refunds)
• Platform policies and device settings

20. Severability and Entire Agreement

Standard legal terms to keep the agreement working even if part is invalid.

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
