Gems and energy
Coins grow from smart buy/sell/wait trades. Energy optionally powers GEN to activate special live events; gems buy upgrades, boxes, and special offers listed in the economy catalog. Both energy and gems are earned in-game through play. Optional purchases speed things up — nothing is required to enjoy the core broker loop (buy/sell/wait → portfolio balance → office climb; GEN activates special events).
Earn paths (honest overview):
- Energy regenerates over time and can appear in gifts, event rewards, or packs when those surfaces are live.
- Gems come from progression, offers, and optional IAP — they never convert to real cash.
- Coins / play cash grow from trading outcomes and feed office upgrades.
- Clover streaks and similar event UX rewards only apply when the live game shows them — do not expect grants that are not in the catalog.

Redeem a promo code
Official promo codes are entered inside the StockIT app when a code dialog is shown. Codes expire and may be one-time use. There is no web redeem page on stockitgame.com.
Never enter your Apple or Google password on a website that claims to redeem codes. If a site asks for your store password or promises unlimited free gems, it is a scam — see /official-rewards/.

VIP Pass overview
VIP Pass unlocks around level 6-4 when the catalog and progression allow it. It adds a premium reward track with daily gifts described in the app — we do not invent extra grants in marketing copy.
Purchases are processed through Apple or Google inside the app. There is no web shop. VIP does not turn StockIT into real trading; play money rules still apply. See /help/economy/ for how gems and energy fit the loop.

In-game education tips (boost screens)
When you boost coins or energy, StockIT shows short finance tips in a game-friendly tone. There are 87 tips across Diversification, Time, Risk, Behavior, Compound, and Income — each paired on the website with the exact game feature that teaches it (GEN events, diversification bar, risk/reward bar, Market Master, sectors, and more).
Examples:
- Don't Put All Eggs in One Basket — Spreading your coins across different stocks makes panics less scary. (Practice with the diversification bar + pie chart.)
- Stay Calm in Panic — When everyone panics, smart investors stay cool and think clearly. (Live Market Panic events.)
- More Risk, More Reward — Riskier investments can pay more, but they can also hurt more. (Risk/reward bar + sector volatility.)
- Money Makes Money — Your returns can earn returns too — that's the magic of compounding. (Reinvest dividend coins into more shares.)
- Stocks = Ownership — Buying stock means you own a tiny piece of that company. (Holdings strip + GEN news on your stocks.)
